The Chapter Leadership Meeting at 1:00 p.m, with awards at 1:30 pm. Share ideas and experiences. Our chapter is receiving 3 awards! We encourage all of our chapter members to attend this event.

Wednesday, Oct 1st - AEE National Capital Chapter Luncheon, 12:30 pm, Salon 1: Free for Conference

Registrants, $20 all others. Guest Speaker is Congressman Paul Tonko, New York's 20th Congressional District, who serves on the Energy & Commerce Committee. Congressman Tonko will speak on Combined Heat and Power (CHP) & Electric Grid Reliability

Awards Banquet, 7 to 10 pm: 

2013 America's Got Talent (AGT) Finalist, Teen Magician - Collins Key will entertain us! Collin also performs at Radio City Music Hall. This event is included in your paid three-day conference registration. Additional tickets may be purchased on-line and at the conference
registration booths if tickets are still available.

Thurs., Oct 2nd - Council of Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) Breakfast, 7:30 - 9:00 am:

Free - men attend this event too! Featured Speaker is Joanne Edwards, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Eaton. Ms. Edwards will share her journey as a woman in business, and discuss how megatrends create vast opportunities for women in the STEM industry. A member of our chapter and the CWEEL International Affairs Chair, Kathleen O'Dell, and her company Deloitte, is the sponsor for the CWEEL breakfast. Kathleen will also be a speaker at the WEEC. CWEEL's goal is to develop a prominent voice for women in the energy and environmental industry, and to contribute to the advancement of women in leadership positions throughout the industry.

Thursday, Oct 2nd - CWEEL Reception, 4 - 6 PM:

Great networking opportunity - bring plenty of business cards! Free for CWEEL members and $30 for all others - pay at the reception, you may be able to sign up and pay for this at a WEEC Registration Booth. CWEEL membership is only $30/year but you need to be an AEE
member - you may be able to sign up for CWEEL at their reception.

LinkedIn Leaders in Energy Research Communications Policies and Analysis (LERCPA), and the AEE National Capital Chapter which is developing a very active DC-area CWEEL group are cooperating with the CWEEL Reception! Our Chapter President, Buster Barksdale, and a number of other men are CWEEL members too!
