The Association of Energy Engineers (National AEE), founded in 1977, is a nonprofit professional society of over 11,000 members in 78 countries. The AEE specializes in training, membership development, chapter development, and certification for professionals practicing in the fields of energy management, renewable energy and green buildings. The AEE offers a full array of informational outreach programs including seminars (live and internet based), conferences, journals, books, and certification programs.
The National Capital Chapter (NCC) is the chapter level organization of the National AEE in the Washington, DC metropolitan region. The NCC is a local organization providing information and support to local energy professionals. NCC activities benefit the careers and work of energy professionals and the studies (through scholarships) of engineering students throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan region. This year, the NCC provided over $3,000 in scholarships to students and won national awards for Best Chapter and Best Student Chapter!
All National Capital Chapter Members are both members of the National Association of Energy Engineers as well as members of the local chapter. In order for one to become a member, either a paper application must be filled out and returned or one must complete the application on-line. Either way, the option to join the National Capital Chapter must be selected at the time of initial application or a prospective member must add the National Capital Membership to their National Membership at some future time.
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at upcoming events!
