The Council on Women in Energy & Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) is a division of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) that supports the role of women in the energy and environmental industries. It assists in career development activities for existing professionals, and also enable young women aspiring to leadership roles to find mentors that will support their own development.

At the 2013 World Energy Engineering Congress in DC this past September - AEE chapters were asked to designate one of their members to help promote and support CWEEL within the chapter and their regions. So, we decided to form a regional CWEEL group that could network, support each other, and work together to encourage more women to enter the energy and environmental engineering fields.

Guest Speaker, Trudy McCrea, is chairman of Achieve-It.Jobs. Trudy will discuss the job market, resume writing and interviewing, and job hunting strategies. Her business foundation was built in engineering, sales, and management positions, giving her the background necessary to advise, hire and coach, at all levels. She is active in Women in Technology and Opportunity International, a microfinance non-profit. Trudy is a frequent guest speaker and author of recruiting, leadership and sales articles.
